What is an uterus myom embolization ?
The uterine myom is the most frequent benign tumor in women, it is present, with or without symptoms, in one of each three women. It developes inside or next to the wall of the uterus. It consists on the abnormal proliferation of muscular cells of the uterus (myom), sometimes accompanied by proliferation of fibers of the connective tissue of the uterus. The uterine myom is a mass of variable size, from 1-2 inches of diameter to several pounds of weight, rounded and firm consistency appears inside the uterus. Myoms can be single or multiple. It grows, partly, fby action of the estrogens, or feminine sexual hormones, and it can end up reaching an enormous size.
More than a third of the myoms don't give symptoms. The initial symptoms can be:

- Hemorrhages or flow not related with the menstruation.
- Difficulty or pain when urinating.
- Pain in the pelvic area.
- Increase of the abdominal (size) perimeter.
